An offering to the arts.
Launched in 2019, Kalanjali is Qatar’s pioneering inter-school youth festival for Indian school students, created to celebrate artistic, literary, musical and cultural talent.

A VIBRANT CELEBRATION OF TALENT, CULTURE AND TOGETHERNESS
Launched in 2019, the Qatar Indian School Youth Festival Kalanjali is a pioneering cultural initiative conceived and organized by Media Pen, in association with Ideal Indian School and Radio Malayalam 98.6 FM. Inspired by the grandeur of the Kerala State School Kalolsavam and the CBSE Kalolsavam, Kalanjali is the first festival of its kind in the State of Qatar, exclusively dedicated to nurturing and celebrating the artistic, literary, musical, and cultural talents of students from Indian schools across the country.
Since its inception, Kalanjali has grown into one of the largest and most prestigious inter-school youth festivals in Qatar, bringing together thousands of students, teachers, parents, volunteers, artists, and community leaders in a remarkable celebration of creativity, culture, and excellence.
More than a competition, Kalanjali is a movement that encourages students to dream, perform, create, and excel. It serves as a platform where hidden talents are discovered, confidence is built, friendships are formed, and future stars begin their journey.
Celebration of Talent, Culture & Unity
Inspired by the rich traditions of Kerala’s Kalolsavam and the vibrant spirit of youth festivals in India, Kalanjali has evolved into one of the most prestigious inter-school cultural festivals in Qatar. It brings together students from diverse backgrounds to celebrate creativity, heritage, and the universal language of art.
THE ESSENSE OF KALANJALI
The name Kalanjali is derived from the Sanskrit words Kala (Art) and Anjali (Offering), symbolizing “An Offering to the Arts.” True to its name, the festival is a tribute to the immense talents of young artists and performers, providing them with opportunities to excel in music, dance, literature, theatre, visual arts, and numerous other creative disciplines.
